These terms apply whenever you use BaytCooks, whether you are browsing kitchens, ordering food, or listing a kitchen of your own. By creating an account you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service.
BaytCooks is a discovery platform. We help buyers find home kitchens in Bahrain and hand the conversation over to the cook. We are not a restaurant, a caterer, a delivery company, or a payment processor for food orders.
Every food order is a direct agreement between the buyer and the seller. Price, payment method, timing, collection, and delivery are all arranged between the two of you. BaytCooks is not a party to that agreement.
You need to be at least 18 years old to hold an account. Give accurate details, keep your password to yourself, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has access. Everything that happens under your account is your responsibility. Sellers must verify their email address before a kitchen can be submitted for review.
Sending an inquiry is a request, not a confirmed order. The kitchen decides whether to accept it. Before you pay, agree the total, the collection or delivery arrangement, and the time with the cook. Tell the cook about any allergy or dietary requirement directly, and do not rely only on the dietary tags shown on a listing.
Refunds, replacements, and complaints about an order are settled with the kitchen. If a kitchen behaves badly you can report it to us and we will review the listing, but we cannot refund money we never received.
As a seller you are responsible for your own business, and you agree that:
New kitchens are reviewed before they appear publicly. We may decline a kitchen, ask for changes, or remove a listing that breaks these terms.
Food safety is the responsibility of the seller who prepares the food. The seller controls the kitchen, the ingredients, the storage, and the hygiene standards, and is accountable for them under Bahraini food safety rules. BaytCooks does not inspect kitchens, test food, or certify hygiene.
Home kitchens are shared spaces, so cross contact with allergens such as nuts, dairy, eggs, gluten, and sesame is always possible. If you have an allergy, speak to the cook before you order.
Listing a kitchen and receiving inquiries is free. Optional seller plans and promotional placements are paid, and they are billed through Polar, our payment provider. Plans renew automatically for the interval you chose until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal and keeps your plan active until the end of the period you already paid for.
Paying for a plan or a promotion buys visibility features. It does not buy guaranteed orders, guaranteed placement, or approval of your kitchen. Fees already charged are non refundable unless Bahraini law says otherwise, or unless we failed to deliver the feature you paid for.
You keep ownership of the photos, recipes, stories, and reviews you publish. By posting them you give BaytCooks permission to display and promote them on the marketplace and in our own marketing. Reviews must describe a real experience. We may remove content that is false, abusive, or unlawful, and sellers can reply to reviews but cannot delete honest ones.
BaytCooks is provided as it is. We work hard to keep listings accurate and the site available, but we cannot guarantee either. To the fullest extent Bahraini law allows, we are not liable for illness, injury, loss, or damage arising from food you bought through the marketplace, from a dispute with a buyer or seller, or from an interruption to the service.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid BaytCooks in platform fees during the 12 months before the claim. Since buyers pay nothing to us, that amount is usually zero for buyers.
You can close your account at any time by emailing us. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that puts other users at risk, or that we are required to remove by law. If we close your account we will tell you why unless we are prevented from doing so. Unpaid plan fees remain due, and reviews may stay visible in anonymised form.
We may update these terms as the product grows. The date at the top always shows the current version, and we will announce significant changes before they take effect. Continuing to use BaytCooks after a change means you accept the new version.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the courts of Bahrain have jurisdiction over any dispute.
